Science Cover Supervisor

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £95 – £110 per day

Elevate Supply is working with secondary schools across Birmingham to recruit a confident and science-minded Cover Supervisor. This supply role is a great opportunity for someone with a background in science to gain meaningful experience in education while supporting students across KS3 and KS4.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support classes in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics using pre-planned materials

  • Keep students on task and engaged throughout the lesson

  • Maintain classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Provide short updates to teaching staff on how lessons went

  • Contribute to a safe, focused, and positive environment in labs and classrooms

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)

  • Experience working with secondary-age students is an advantage

  • Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills

  • Proactive, reliable, and professional attitude

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
