Maths Cover Supervisor

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £90 – £110

Elevate Supply is working in partnership with secondary schools in Birmingham to recruit a confident and capable Maths Cover Supervisor. This is a great opportunity for a graduate with a strong academic background in mathematics or a related subject to gain valuable classroom experience on a supply basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-set Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students in the absence of the class teacher

  • Support student understanding and promote independent learning

  • Maintain a calm and focused classroom environment

  • Provide brief feedback on lesson delivery and student progress

  • Work in line with school policies and contribute to a positive school culture

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject (essential)

  • Experience working with young people in education is preferred

  • Confident classroom presence with strong communication and leadership skills

  • Professional, proactive, and supportive approach to behaviour management

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
