Maths Cover Supervisor – Manchester | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is proud to be partnering with a dynamic and inclusive secondary schools in Manchester to recruit a dedicated and confident Maths Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with a strong academic background in mathematics or a related field to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive environment.

This full-time position is available for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year.

Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role: As a Maths Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set maths lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring students remain on task. You’ll join a collaborative and ambitious department that values structure, creativity, and student engagement. This role is ideal for those looking to make a real difference in education.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Support students with their work and encourage independent learning

• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student progress

• Uphold school policies and support the wider pastoral and academic mission

• Build positive relationships with students and staff alike

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field (essential)

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting (preferred)

• Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills

• A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed

• A proactive, resilient, and professional approach

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
