Job Introduction
KS1 Teacher – Bradford (BD9)
A fantastic opportunity has come up for a Primary Teacher looking for a full-time position in Bradford (BD9). A friendly and welcoming primary school in the area is looking to recruit a Year 2 Teacher to cover maternity leave, starting from 1st September 2025 and continuing until March 2026.
The school is open to applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who have already completed their induction.
This is a ‘GOOD’ Ofsted-rated school with a strong sense of community and a focus on nurturing every child’s potential. Located in a diverse part of Bradford, the school is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and strong links with families.
Because the role is in Year 2, where the KS1 SATs take place, the Head Teacher is keen to find someone who already has some experience with this year group—either during training or in a previous teaching role. A good grasp of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment expectations will be key.
The school is looking for someone who:
- Brings creative and engaging ideas to their teaching
- Has a good handle on classroom management
- Can plan effectively and stay organised
- Genuinely cares about helping pupils grow and succeed
If you're an ECT, don't worry—you’ll be well supported by the KS1 Lead, who offers excellent mentoring.
To apply, you’ll need to have the right teaching qualifications and be eligible to work in the UK. Make sure your CV highlights any Year 2 or KS1 experience you’ve had.
This is a temporary role to start with, but there may be an opportunity for something more permanent further down the line.
Safeguarding information:
The school and recruitment agency are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants will need to undergo enhanced DBS checks, and online searches may be carried out as part of the recruitment process.
We also offer free child protection and Prevent Duty training for all registered candidates.
