Position Overview:
- Job Title: English Teacher
- Location: Bury
- Day Rate: £150 - £200 per day dependant on experience
- Start Date: Easter 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
Prepare students for GCSE examinations and other relevant assessments
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students
Use innovative teaching strategies to inspire a passion for English literature and language
Collaborate with colleagues to develop the English curriculum and share best practices
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in English or a related subject
Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A commitment to continuous professional development and student success
