Job Introduction

1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £90 – £110

We’re working with secondary schools in Birmingham to recruit a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on a student’s education by providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support students with special educational needs both inside and outside the classroom

  • Assist in the delivery of lesson content and classroom management

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who need additional help

  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students are engaged and progressing

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience supporting students in a secondary school setting (desirable)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to student welfare and education

  • Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to support

  • Understanding of special educational needs (SEN)

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferable but not essential)
