PE Cover Supervisor


Location: Birmingham

Start Date: As soon as possible

Day Rate: £95 – £110

We're working with a secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a full-time PE Cover Supervisor for the rest of the academic year. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for sport and education to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in both classroom and practical settings.


Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Supervise classes during teacher absence, maintaining positive behaviour

  • Encourage participation and sportsmanship during lessons and activities

  • Ensure student safety and wellbeing during all physical activities

  • Provide general cover across other subjects when required

  • Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders regarding student progress

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, or sports setting

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • A positive, proactive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

  • Degree in sport, PE, or a related field is desirable but not essential

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
