Job Title: Behaviour Specialist

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £85 – £110

We’re working with a supportive secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a Behaviour Specialist for a full-time role starting as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to work closely with students who need tailored support to engage positively in school life and build strategies for success.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs

  • Implement positive behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies

  • Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to create a calm, safe learning environment

  • Support students with social development and emotional regulation

  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavioural incidents

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people with SEMH or behavioural difficulties

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic under pressure

  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach

  • Relevant training such as Team Teach or MAPA (desirable)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
