Behaviour Specialist – South Sheffield (S8) | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is proud to be working with a caring and inclusive secondary school in South Sheffield (S8) in the search for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people with social, emotional, or behavioural needs to make a real impact in a nurturing and forward-thinking environment.

This full-time role is to begin as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year.

🟢 Pay Rate: £90 – £120 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role:

As a Behaviour Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting students who require additional guidance to manage their behaviour and engage positively in school life. You’ll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SEND professionals to implement strategies that promote emotional regulation and resilience.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 and with small groups of students to support behaviour and emotional wellbeing

• Support the implementation of positive behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to maintain a calm, safe learning environment

• Help students develop social skills and self-awareness through structured activities

• Monitor and report on student progress and incidents

• Actively contribute to the school’s inclusive and supportive ethos

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties (essential)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Patience, empathy, and a calm approach under pressure

• A proactive, professional, and team-oriented mindset

• Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, MAPA, or similar – desirable)

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
