Elevate Supply is working with a supportive Secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a Behaviour Mentor. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and SEND and a passion for inclusive education.

Position Overview:

Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: May 2025
Day Rate: £85 – £110

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.

  • Lead targeted intervention sessions for small groups to improve behaviour, confidence, and engagement.

  • Support teaching staff with classroom behaviour management.

  • Build positive relationships with students to encourage progress and emotional regulation.

  • Work closely with the SENCO and wider pastoral team to ensure individual needs are met.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience supporting students with SEMH or challenging behaviour.

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.

  • Background in education, youth work, or psychology is desirable.

  • Available full-time from April 2025.
