KS1 PE Teaching Assistant – Bury
Location: Bury
Start Date: ASAP
Daily Rate: £90 – £100 per day
Elevate Supply is working with a welcoming primary school in Bury to recruit a KS1 PE Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for graduates in Sports Science, PE, or a related field who are looking to gain experience in a school setting and support the physical development of children aged 5–7.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in education, teaching, or child development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of PE and physical activities in KS1
- Help lead structured play, movement sessions, and group games
- Encourage pupil participation, coordination, and motor skills development
- Work alongside class teachers to promote active learning
- Assist with classroom activities and general support when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in PE, Sports Science, or a related subject
- A confident, positive, and proactive approach to working with children
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage younger pupils
- Some experience working with children is a bonus, but not essential
- Willingness to learn and support across various activities in school
