Elevate Supply is delighted to be supporting a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in South Sheffield (S8) in the recruitment of a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator to join a forward-thinking team and inspire young minds through the wonders of science.

This full-time teaching role is to begin as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.

🟢 Pay Rate: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role:
As a Science Teacher, you’ll be delivering engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to a thriving department that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. You will play an integral role in helping students achieve academic success while fostering a supportive and respectful classroom culture.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (KS3/KS4)

• Differentiate planning and instruction to meet diverse learning needs

• Use a range of practical experiments and demonstrations to enhance learning

• Track and assess student progress using school systems

• Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and enrichment opportunities

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive and effective teaching practice

• Communicate with parents, carers, and staff to support student development

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Science in secondary settings

• Strong subject knowledge across all science disciplines

• A commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Creativity and passion for making science accessible and exciting

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
