Salary: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about sports and keen to inspire the next generation of young athletes?

Elevate Supply are seeking a dedicated and energetic PE Teaching Assistant to support secondary schools across Birmingham, working with students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in sports or coaching who are looking to make a real impact in the classroom and on the field.

About the Role:
As a PE Teaching Assistant, you will support PE departments with the delivery of lessons, organise and lead physical activities, and promote a healthy, active lifestyle among students. You will also work closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour and engage learners in both practical and classroom-based settings.

Key Responsibilities of a PE Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality PE lessons and sports sessions.

  • Encourage active participation and teamwork during lessons and extra-curricular activities.

  • Support classroom learning when required across a range of subjects.

  • Motivate and inspire students to develop their physical and mental wellbeing.

  • Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Support students with additional needs or behavioural challenges.

Requirements of a PE Teaching Assistant:

  • A background in Sports Coaching, Physical Education, or a related field.

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or coaching setting.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Confidence to lead groups and manage behaviour effectively.

  • A proactive, positive, and adaptable approach.

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
