History Lead – Birmingham

Elevate Supply is working with a secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a History Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within a dedicated Humanities department, with responsibility for shaping and delivering a high-quality History curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: History Lead

  • Location: Birmingham

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Daily Rate: £150 – £200

The Role:

  • Leading the planning and delivery of the History curriculum across KS3 and KS4

  • Supporting colleagues with resources, teaching strategies, and assessment approaches

  • Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive

  • Monitoring progress and driving high standards across the subject

  • Working closely with school leadership to contribute to whole-school improvement

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in History or a related subject

  • Strong subject knowledge and leadership capability

  • Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and team collaboration skills
