Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Edgbaston
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Daily Rate: £90 – £100 per day

Elevate Supply is working with a welcoming primary school in the Edgbaston area to recruit a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is interested in gaining practical experience in education, particularly supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream classroom environment.

This role would suit someone looking to build a career in educational psychology, teaching, or child development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of needs
• Assist the class teacher in managing classroom activities and behaviour
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Help to implement support strategies designed by teachers or SENCOs
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

• A degree in Psychology (or another relevant social science)
• A genuine interest in supporting children and young people
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, patient approach
• Some experience working or volunteering with children is desirable
• Looking to gain hands-on experience before pursuing a career in education or mental health
