Elevate Supply is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking SEN school in South Sheffield (S8) to recruit a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs, including those with behavioral challenges, supporting them to thrive both academically and personally.
This full-time teaching role is to begin as soon as possible and will continue through to the end of the academic year, with potential for extension.
π’ Pay Rate: Β£140 β Β£200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
The Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored, high-quality lessons to students with a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other behavioral difficulties. You will work closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders to create a calm, engaging, and structured learning environment.
Your Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN and behavioral needs
Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Implement and contribute to behaviour management strategies and individual behaviour plans
Work collaboratively with support staff to maintain consistency and care
Monitor and report on pupil progress using school systems
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals
Take part in whole-school training and contribute to the wider school community
What Weβre Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
Strong experience supporting students with behavioral needs and/or SEMH
Background in SEN teaching within specialist or mainstream provisions
A nurturing, patient, and resilient teaching approach
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Confidence working with challenging behaviour and the ability to de-escalate situations calmly
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
