Secondary Teaching Assistant – Birmingham

Elevate Supply is working with secondary schools in Birmingham to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to start after Easter. This is a great opportunity to support students with a range of needs and play a key role in helping them access learning, both in and out of the classroom.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Birmingham

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Daily Rate: £90 – £100

The Role:

  • Supporting students with additional needs, including SEN, across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Providing in-class support and working with students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis

  • Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom routines

  • Helping to create a positive, supportive environment for learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting young people in a school setting is desirable but not essential

  • A calm, flexible and proactive approach

  • A genuine interest in supporting students' progress and wellbeing

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A good understanding of SEN is beneficial
