Secondary Maths Teacher – Easter 2025
Location: Sheffield
Start Date: Easter 2025
Day Rate: £140 - £200 per day (Dependent on Experience)
Overview:
Elevate Supply is looking for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to join schools in Sheffield starting from Easter 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students as they navigate Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, while fostering a love for mathematics and academic excellence.
Position Summary:
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that are aligned with the national curriculum. You will have the opportunity to create a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to reach their full academic potential. Your expertise will contribute to both their mathematical understanding and overall personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and interactive lessons that engage students and meet curriculum standards.
Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture where all students feel valued.
Collaborate effectively with the Maths department and the broader school team to enhance student learning and outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and proven experience teaching Mathematics up to GCSE level (A-Level teaching experience is desirable but not essential).
A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Ability to create an engaging and motivating learning environment.
An Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to apply for one).
