Job Introduction
Computing & IT Teacher – Birmingham
Job Title: Secondary English Teacher
Location: Birmingham B3
Pay Rate: £150 - £220 per day
Start Date: Easter 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Computing and IT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Teach Computing to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering topics such as programming, data representation, cybersecurity, and networking.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring a strong grasp of key concepts and practical applications.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage and support students of all abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Foster a stimulating and innovative learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving through technology.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Computing at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Strong subject knowledge, particularly in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scratch.
Ability to deliver engaging lessons that develop students' computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
