Graduate Teaching Assistant – PE Department (South Sheffield)
Elevate Supply – Competitive Salary (£80 - £100 a day)

Are you a sports graduate with a passion for working with children? Do you aspire to become a PE teacher and gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting? If so, Elevate Supply is working with a well-established secondary school in South Sheffield that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support their PE department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and sports, offering the chance to work across KS3, KS4, and KS5, assisting in the delivery of PE lessons and supporting students' development. In addition to classroom support, you will have the opportunity to lead PE sessions and contribute to a variety of teaching activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of PE lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, working alongside qualified teachers to enhance students' learning experience.
  • Leading PE sessions when required, demonstrating your passion and knowledge for the subject.
  • Acting as a positive role model for students, helping to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Supporting students with additional needs or behavioral challenges, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
  • Developing your skills and knowledge through continuous learning and professional development.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in a sports-related field.
  • Previous experience working with children (school experience is preferable, but not essential).
  • Enthusiasm for education and sports, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A real passion for helping students reach their potential, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Experience supporting students with additional needs or challenging behavior is preferable, but not essential.
