Social Marketing Executive (UK)
Location: Twinkl HQ, Sheffield (Remote)
Annual Salary: £27,000- £32,000
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Contract: Permanent
Do you have excellent knowledge of social media platforms, their algorithms and a proven track record for driving engagement and creating top-performing content? Do you have a continuous learning mindset? Can you optimise content and tactics to improve channel performance?
We’re looking for a creative, innovative social media marketer with a deep understanding of social media's potential as a powerful marketing tool and someone who won’t be afraid to try new things to achieve results. Your primary focus will be on our X channel but you will work across all of our social channels.
You’ll have your finger on the pulse of popular culture and news as well as identifying key updates in the education sector and turning these into marketing opportunities. You’ll confidently provide insights to the wider team about what’s trending or newsworthy and identify opportunities for reactive content that can be shaped to fit our target audience as well as utilising channel updates to reach more of our potential audience.
You will be responsible for ideating and creating content alongside the Social Marketing Team, promoting our brand and engaging with our target audience in order to achieve our brand, acquisition engagement and retention goals. You’ll also be planning, scheduling and tracking performance ensuring that content aligns with our overall Global Marketing strategy.
The role requires an excellent communicator who is able to cascade their knowledge of marketing and best practices throughout the team and wider business. They’ll also be great at chatting to people across the business and join the dots to collaborate across the teams in order to deliver incredible, relevant and reactive content for our customers.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be confident with analysing data in order to identify opportunities or strategically pivot content. You’ll be able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
Owning the X channel, it’s strategy and driving the channel’s success and development
Ensuring our B2C strategy is fulfilled and that all content alignes with this.
Identifying key insights and producing content from a thought leadership perspective
Working with teams across the business to increase our thought leadership offering
Working alongside other Marketing Executives to ensure continuity across platforms
Planning of the social media calendar
Supporting the B2B and Product teams with content production, developing X specific strategies and identifying opportunities to elevate B2B and Product campaign performances.
Creating engaging, reactive and relevant content
Opportunity spotting
Optimising content for X,
Providing Insight to the wider marketing team
Training other areas of the business on X
Data reporting
Incident Escalation/Management
About you:
Creative and passionate about social media
Excellent copywriting skills
Experience in a previous marketing role.
Clear and confident communicator
Goal oriented and results focused.
Is organised and manages workload efficiently to hit deadlines.
Beneficial but not essential:
Experience working in the education sector
Teaching experience
Experience working with platforms such as Meltwater and Tableau.
Soft Skills:
Is good fun to be with and has the ability to communicate well with others.
Has a hard work ethic, is passionate, driven and loves what they do.
Is honest, trustworthy and reliable.
Produces quality work and is ready to learn new skills
Qualifications and experience:
Recognised Marketing Qualification
English GCSE Grade C or equivalent minimum
