France is a rapidly growing market for Twinkl. You will have the creative freedom to shape the content we offer to our customers. Our ideal candidate will go beyond writing and editing content by suggesting new product ideas, identifying needs in the French teaching community, and sharing their experiences and expertise with others. It is an exciting time for this market. The successful candidate will be vital in ensuring that these ambitious plans for France become a reality. This is a work-from-home, flexible position, and hours can be agreed upon between you and your line manager to fit around your current commitments.

You’ll be part of a team of passionate teaching professionals working flexibly to write and edit content for Twinkl’s emerging French product. This team creates a wide range of resources for use in early years to primary school educational levels. This will include PowerPoints, display materials, activity sheets, assessments, and planning. For this role, the majority of your time will be spent writing and editing content for all ages in early years to primary school.

Your weekly activities will typically include:

  • Meeting with other Twinkl team members and the Country Manager to discuss new ideas, production, and general updates.

  • Writing content for the French market.

  • Editing content for the French market.

  • Developing new product ideas with the France Country Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Create and adapt materials for the French primary school curriculum and early years.

  • Work collaboratively with other content writers and designers to produce educational materials.

  • Create new teacher content for our Twinkl France team, from ideation stage to publication on the site.

  • Collaborate remotely, working closely with team members across the globe (in English).

  • Develop greater commercial awareness to understand the needs of those we want to help.

You’ll work with:

  • Daniella Richetta (Twinkl France Country Manager)

  • Other teachers and team members – the team consists of content writers/editors, digital copywriters, content executives, and designers, all working together to create material and innovate.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Have an excellent understanding of the French Curriculum (Primary and early years).

  • Qualifications: Master of Education (or equivalent teaching-centred qualifications).

  • Have native French language skills (both written and spoken).

  • Have excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills in French.

  • Have excellent English language skills (must be able to communicate both written and spoken).

  • Be a creative and proactive ideator, writer, and editor.

  • Essential for remote working: You will need access to a fast and reliable internet connection of at least 6mb download and 1mb upload. We recommend you use speedtest.net to check.

We're especially interested in anyone who has:

  • Early years teaching experience.

Recruitment process:

Please submit a CV and cover letter explaining your experience and your interest in this role. If you have other working commitments, please include how you plan to fit these 15 hours into your working week.

If your application is shortlisted,  you will be invited to complete a French Writing and Editing task. Following this, you will then be invited to attend a video interview with our friendly team.

If you require a reasonable adjustment to the application/selection process to enable you to demonstrate your ability to perform the job requirements, you are welcome to include this at the foot of your covering letter. This will help us to understand any modifications we may need to make to support you throughout our selection process.

In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities.
