We are looking for a content writer for our brand new product “Colombian Curriculum''. We are looking for creative, innovative, cooperative content writers to join our team and collaborate with making content according to the Colombian curriculum. We are seeking a secondary teacher who can develop educational resources for upper Primary & lower Secondary schools or ideally a teacher who has taught both primary and secondary.
You will help to create resources specifically designed for first to sixth grade of the Primary and lower Secondary levels in all the areas for the National and international curriculums, applied in Colombia. As a team, we are looking to add new creative ideas and engaging resources to our Primary and lower Secondary levels.
In your role as a content writer, you will focus on quality when writing content and help ensure that the content other writers have written is accurate and well-written. The teams aim is to ensure we deliver high-quality materials to Colombian students and teachers.
Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:
Creating resources and lesson plans for the Primary and lower Secondary levels, following the product scheme, reviewing and editing content that our writers have created to ensure it is accurate, well written, suitable for the target year group and providing the correct level of challenge and support.
Video meetings, working and communicating with other team members in a scrum team to achieve sprint goals.
As part of the Colombian team, you will communicate with all the members of the team and other team members from LATAM and attend weekly meetings to stay updated on the progress of our work.
To succeed in the role, you will:
Be a fully qualified Secondary School teacher in a private or official school in Colombia.
Have an excellent understanding of curricular models in Colombia.
Have a teaching / education degree that is recognised in Colombia.
Have recent classroom experience teaching Secondary levels in Colombia, (in the last 4 years)
Have an excellent understanding of the DBA, EBC, and other strategic educational models in Colombia.
Have fluent / native level Spanish language skills.
Have excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar skills in Spanish.
Creative and proactive thinker.
Have excellent English communication skills both written and spoken - ideally C1/C2 level but would accept B2+.
In this role, you will learn:
How to create and adapt materials for the new Colombian curriculum.
How to work collaboratively with other Content Writers and designers to produce educational materials.
How to create new teacher content for our Colombian team, from ideation stage to publication on the site.
Remote collaboration, working closely with team members across this market.
How to develop greater commercial awareness so we can understand the needs of those we want to help.

Elsa Gómez (Colombia - Country Manager) – Elsa Gomez is a marketing and communications professional with 5 years of experience working in education. She has been with Twinkl for 2 years and has already managed to grow the market to have an academic content development team.

Requirements:
Qualifications: Bachelor of Education, Degree of Lic. en Educación Primaria or Normalista (or equivalent)
Experience: Recent classroom experience, currently teaching the grades of Secondary levels. (in the last 4 years).
Experience teaching with some of the Colombian curriculums (national or international).
Regular use of educational planning tools.
