Pay Rate: $6.50 USD
Contract: 12-month initial contract (Highly likely to be extended, but no guarantees) - Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes.

The Role:
Twinkl is seeking a content writer/editor to join our Singapore team. We need creative individuals adept at crafting educational resources aligned with the Singapore Education Ministry’s Mother Tongue Language requirement. You'll develop engaging lesson plans tailored to local classroom requirements, supporting educators and enhancing student learning. Your focus on quality content will ensure Twinkl remains a trusted resource for Singaporean teachers and parents. Collaboration within our Singapore team and across the global network will be integral to your role, fostering innovation and alignment with educational goals.
How you’ll spend your day:
Creating lesson plans for the elementary level following the product scheme, reviewing and editing content that our Writers have created to ensure it is accurate, well written, suitable for the target age group and providing the correct level of challenge and support.
Creating learning modules and workshops for teachers aligned with the MOE Primary School Syllabus.
Meeting, working and communicating with other team members in a scrum team to achieve sprint goals.
To succeed in the role, you will:
Have an excellent understanding of the MOE Curriculum.
Be a fully qualified teacher in Singapore. With at least a Diploma of Education.
Have at least 2-3 years of recent experience teaching in the public school sector.
Have confidence in creating MOE aligned Lesson Plans & Teacher training modules
Have excellent English & Tamil language skills. (Must be able to communicate both written and verbally to a Native standard)
Have excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar skills in English and Tamil.
Be Creative and proactive ideators, writers and editors.
In this role, you will learn:
To create and adapt materials aligned with the MOE Curriculum.
To work collaboratively with other Content Writers and designers to produce educational materials.
How to create new teacher content for our Twinkl Singapore team, from ideation stage to publication on the site.
To collaborate remotely, working closely with team members across the globe. (In English)
How to develop greater commercial awareness so we can understand the needs of those we want to help.

Other teachers and team members – the team consists of Content Writers/ Editors and designers, all working together to create material and innovate together.
