Job Introduction
Senior Creative Copywriter
Location: Remote UK
Contract Type: Full time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our in-house Creative Studio at a leading global EdTech company - someone who can craft brilliant, channel-appropriate, impactful copy and help raise the standard of writing across the brand.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be generating ideas, shaping messaging, and writing copy for a wide range of channels, from scroll-stopping paid social to brand campaigns, emails, landing pages, and beyond. You’ll be a natural storyteller who can make complex ideas simple, persuasive, and engaging, always with our audience in mind.
Alongside exceptional writing and conceptual thinking, we're also looking for someone who uses AI thoughtfully as part of their creative process. Not to replace ideas or craft, but to help develop, refine and scale great thinking. We'd love someone with a clear point of view on where AI genuinely adds value, both in their own day-to-day work and how it could help the wider copy team work more efficiently and get to better work, quicker.
You’ll also play an important role in supporting and inspiring midweight and junior writers, offering feedback and guidance to help them grow, but the majority of your time will be spent writing, refining, and delivering great copy yourself.
You’ll help ensure our tone of voice is applied consistently and authentically, talking with our audience, not at them, and you’ll contribute to evolving how we speak to better reflect our values, our mission, and our deep understanding of educators and their world. Experience using humour and wit in your copy (particularly US-friendly humour) is a strong plus, helping our campaigns feel culturally relevant and engaging across markets.
How you’ll spend your day:
Concepting & Writing: Developing strategically led, insight-driven ideas and bringing them to life through engaging copy, from headlines and scripts to longer-form content and campaign messaging.
Channel-First Craft: Writing for a wide range of formats - from thumb-stopping paid social ads to compelling email subject lines, landing pages, thought leadership content, ATL and OOH copy, always tailoring the tone and style to feel native to the channel.
Using AI Thoughtfully: Finding smart, practical ways to use AI to support your own creative process, while helping shape best practice across the wider copy team. You'll be encouraged to experiment, share what works and help us build workflows that improve quality, speed and consistency without compromising creativity or craft.
Collaborating with Creatives: Partnering with Art Director / Designers, Marketers, and other creatives to develop integrated campaign ideas and refine messaging until it’s at its best.
Voice & Messaging: Helping maintain and refine our tone of voice, ensuring it stays authentic, supportive, and empathetic - in solidarity with teachers and educators everywhere.
Inspiring Others: Offering constructive feedback to midweight copywriters and collaborating with the wider team to elevate the quality of our creative output.
To succeed in the role, you will:
Have proven experience as a Senior Copywriter (or an exceptional Midweight ready to step up), with a portfolio showcasing strong conceptual thinking and excellent writing craft.
Be confident writing across a range of channels - from digital-first campaigns and paid social to longer-form editorial, ATL film scripts, and OOH, and be able to flex tone and style to suit different audiences and mediums, making every message feel relevant and channel-appropriate.
Be confident using AI as part of your creative toolkit, understanding where it can genuinely improve the creative process and where human judgement, craft and conceptual thinking matter most. You'll have your own approach to using AI day to day, alongside ideas on how it could help the wider copy team collaborate more effectively and produce even better work.
Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, working well with Designers, Marketers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated ideas.
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment, managing multiple projects without compromising quality.
Show an ability to balance creativity with strategy - writing work that is not only beautifully crafted but also drives results.
Be passionate about storytelling, language, and finding fresh, engaging ways to connect with our audience.
If you require a reasonable adjustment to the application/selection process to enable you to demonstrate your ability to perform the job requirements, please include this at the foot of your covering letter.
Benefits:
In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities.
A friendly, welcoming and supportive culture. We believe work should be fun and always put people before the process
