Educake Sales Account Manager: Join the Team That Puts Educators First

Are you someone who believes sales should be about genuine relationships, not hard closing? Do you love people as much as you love a perfectly organised HubSpot pipeline? If so, we want you to bring the benefits of Educake to new schools across the country. This is a chance to play a central role in our growth strategy by building lasting trust with educators.

About Educake

We're a tight-knit team with a brilliant culture, dedicated to making formative assessment meaningful for teachers and effective for students. Our core values are caring, informal, efficient, and innovative: they genuinely shape how we work every single day. We work hard, we support each other, and we laugh a lot.

The Role: Relationship-Driven, Results-Oriented

This isn't a quick-win role; we play the long game. Your mission is to make every single educator feel like they are the only school we’re working with, guiding them through the entire Educake journey. You will be the first impression many schools get of us, making every interaction, every email, demo, and follow-up, a chance to show we genuinely care about their challenges.

What You'll Be Doing (The Busy Role—In the Best Possible Way):
  • Consultative Demos: Deliver personal and relevant product demos by taking the time to understand each school’s challenges before you open the platform.

  • Lead Nurturing & Follow-Up: Manage event leads and warm enquiries, applying a thoughtful, consultative approach to qualify leads and nurture those who aren't quite ready. You'll own the post-demo follow-up, sharing resources and keeping relationships warm.

  • Pipeline Mastery: Own your section of the pipeline, ensuring HubSpot is immaculate, accurate, and up to date. Great organisation is essential to manage the variety and volume, such as the 260+ subject trials we currently manage.

  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with our Account Managers for smooth lead transitions, and share valuable frontline insights with our Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to help shape Educake’s development.

  • Event Engagement: Where possible, represent Educake at events and ensure 100% prompt follow-up with every lead.

Who You Are

We're looking for someone who doesn't just work hard, but thinks smart, building sensible processes to stay agile and on top of every detail. The best person in this role remembers the small details: the HoD reviewing the budget in January, the teacher struggling with Year Tens, and follows up at exactly the right moment.

You thrive because you are:
  • Meticulously Organised: You juggle multiple leads without dropping a single one and view a tidy CRM (HubSpot) as a core responsibility, not just a nice-to-have.

  • A Natural Relationship Builder: You make people feel genuinely heard and valued, communicating warmly and clearly in every medium.

  • Consultative: You ask great questions and listen before you recommend a solution.

  • Proactive & Collaborative: You find solutions, are adaptable, and keep colleagues informed to ensure a consistent, caring experience for the educator.

  • Passionate about Education: You have a genuine interest in making a difference for teachers and students.

If you’re the kind of person who gets a buzz from a really good follow-up email, who colour-codes their calendar, and who genuinely cares about the people they work with, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a hybrid working job role based in Oxford. You will be required to work a minimum of one day per week from our office. You can opt to work remotely for the remaining four days. Office address: Educake Ltd, Office 1, New Barclay House, 234 Botley Rd, Oxford OX2 0HP
