The Role:

Twinkl Australia is seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Senior Marketing Executive to support the delivery and execution of our marketing strategy across the Australian market.

This role will act as a key second-in-command to the Marketing Manager, playing a critical role in the day-to-day execution, optimisation and performance of marketing activity. The successful candidate will take ownership of key marketing channels, with a particular focus on email marketing and lifecycle communications, while contributing to the planning and delivery of broader marketing campaigns.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced marketer who is comfortable both executing campaigns and contributing strategically. The Senior Marketing Executive will be expected to bring ideas, challenge approaches and continuously improve performance across channels.

Working within a small, high-performing team, this role will help ensure Twinkl’s marketing activity is efficient, insight-led and aligned to the needs of Australian teachers, while supporting growth in engagement, acquisition and retention.

Key purpose of the role:

  • To support the delivery of Twinkl Australia’s marketing strategy through high-quality execution and optimisation

  • To coordinate and develop Twinkl’s email marketing and lifecycle communication strategy

  • To contribute to campaign planning, delivery and performance improvement across marketing channels

  • To drive measurable improvements in channel performance, engagement and conversion

  • To act as a trusted partner to the Marketing Manager, contributing ideas, insights and continuous improvement

Key responsibilities:

1. Email marketing and lifecycle strategy

  • Coordinate and lead Twinkl Australia’s email marketing channel, including strategy, planning and execution

  • Develop and optimise lifecycle journeys to support teacher onboarding, engagement and retention, and subscription conversion

  • Manage campaign calendars, segmentation and targeting to ensure relevant and timely communication

  • Continuously test and improve performance across open rates, click-through rates, and conversions

  • Work with internal teams to ensure email content reflects teacher needs and key marketing priorities

  • Manage and optimise Twinkl’s in-house email platform, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency

2. Campaign delivery & execution

  • Support the Marketing Manager in the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns

  • Take ownership of campaign delivery across key channels, ensuring timelines, quality and performance standards are met

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver cohesive and effective campaigns

  • Ensure campaigns are aligned with Twinkl’s brand, messaging and commercial objectives

  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and impact

3. Partnerships & affiliate marketing

  • Alongside our partnerships team, support the development and management of partnership, affiliate marketing initiatives

  • Identify and build relationships with relevant partners, organisations and communities within the education sector

  • Help deliver partnership campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and acquisition

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of partnership activity

4. Performance & operations

  • Monitor and report on marketing performance across owned channels, with a focus on email engagement and growth, campaign performance and audience behaviour

  • Use data and insights to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to refine strategies based on performance outcomes

  • Contribute to building a culture of test-and-learn and continuous improvement

5. Cross-team collaboration

  • Work closely with social media, paid media and content teams to ensure alignment across marketing activity

  • Collaborate with global Twinkl teams where relevant to align on campaigns, messaging and best practice

  • Ensure marketing activity reflects the needs and priorities of Australian teachers

Skills, experience & attributes

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a digital marketing or marketing executive role

  • Strong experience managing email marketing campaigns and lifecycle communications

  • Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing principles

  • Experience creating digital marketing assets using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar

  • Experience delivering and optimising multi-channel marketing campaigns

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decisions

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a small, fast-paced remote team environment

  • Experience with marketing tools and platforms (e.g. email/CRM systems, analytics tools such as Tableau, GA4 or Looker and campaign management platforms)

Desirable:

  • Experience working within education, edtech or subscription-based businesses

  • Experience using or managing email marketing platforms (including custom or in-house systems)
