Job Introduction

Spain Content Manager (Primary Education)

Location: Spain (fully remote/work from home contract - Must permanently live in Spain & have the right to work without restrictions to apply for this role)

Contract: 12-month initial contract (Highly likely to be extended, but no guarantees) - Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes.

Pay: €13.00 per hour to start

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible working around core meetings

Role Overview:

Twinkl is on a mission to inspire and support learning globally. We are looking for a passionate educator who can lead us in developing our Primary Education content strategy. The person we are looking for in this role will be a confident individual who knows the pain points of teachers in Spain, specially when it comes to facing the LOMLOE requirements, active methodologies and the constant and increasing new needs that emerge in the market. We are also looking for someone with good leadership skills and great organisational skills. 


Responsibilities & Key Performance Indicators:

  • Create and execute the SPAIN product strategy for Twinkl SPAIN and manage all content to ensure depth and breadth of coverage.

  • Assign all content projects to Content Writers and manage the Content Writer Roadmap. 

  • Manage product backlogs.

  • Curating the website, creating materials for empty categories, creating new relevant categories, and landing pages if needed. 

  • Plan and prioritize sprints efficiently to ensure all resources are available for customers on the website according to project deadlines.

  • Report on productivity and product performance in weekly reporting meetings.

  • Attend daily stats meetings and take bold action as necessary.

  • Analyze and review search, download, and conversion data every day, feeding back to the production team and setting action points as required. 

  • Communicate with and lead the production teams every day as they work through each sprint.

  • Deliver the SPAIN monthly product meeting to review, celebrate, and evaluate key production stats and team performance.

  • Lead the weekly Content Writer planning meeting with the Production Trainers and closely support them with their writing projects.

  • Work closely with the wider SPAIN  team to support marketing and partnership campaigns, deliver product updates, and identify opportunities to take into production.

  • Stay aware of market trends and competitor activity and act upon insights you receive. 

  • Own, maintain, and update the Spain. Style Guide to ensure we are at the forefront of American linguistic, cultural, and inclusive sensitivity.

  • Collaborate closely with the Spain Country Manager to accelerate the growth of Twinkl in Spain. 

  • In the future, when the team grows, this person will become the manager of some team members.

You’ll work closely with the following people:

  • Lara Alonso López - Spain Country Manager (your line manager and mentor)

  • Spain production team 

We're interested in candidates who meet a combination of the following:

Requirements:

  • Degree in Primary Education

  • More than 8 years experience in the classroom

  • Experience on Senior positions inside a school: Coordinador, Jefe/a de departamento, jefe/a de estudios…

  • Deep knowledge of the Spanish curriculum, LOMLOE and the constant and growing needs of the market

  • Deep knowledge of active methodologies 

  • Ed-tech savvy 

  • C1 level of English

  • 2 years of leadership experience 

  • High level of Excel 

Desirable: 

  • Knowledge of the Catalan curriculum 

  • Knowledge of tools such as Trello or Jira

This is a freelance international contractor position and the contract will not offer benefits.
