Job Introduction

Location: Romania - 100% Remote / Home Working (Must permanently live in Romania& have the right to work without restrictions to apply for this role)

Pay Rate: 18- 20 euro per hour

Contract: 12-month initial contract (Highly likely to be extended, but no guarantees) - Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a dynamic Country Manager with a strong educational background and able to position Twinkl as the leading expert in education resource provision in Romania. You'll be well-connected in the education sector, passionate about supporting educators, and adept at leading teams.

In this role, the Country Manager will lead the country and segment strategy, including product development initiatives, leveraging Twinkl's expertise to shape the educational landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership and Market Understanding:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the education landscape and the evolving needs of educators and learners in Romania

  • Forge strong relationships with decision-makers and educators across the country, positioning Twinkl as the go-to resource provider.

  • Develop segment-specific strategies that align with Twinkl's overarching goals, leveraging insights into market needs and trends.

Product development:

  • Lead the development and improvement of resources and products designed for educators' specific careers.

  • Lead a team, motivating them to excel and encouraging innovation and teamwork.

  • Use your entrepreneurial mindset to find new opportunities, lead important projects, and drive Twinkl's growth forward.

Team leadership

  • Lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of country-specific strategies and initiatives.

Business Growth and Performance:

  • Achieve revenue targets, new customer acquisition goals, and other key performance indicators.

  • Monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions to drive growth.

  • Provide regular reporting on market performance and progress towards business objectives.


To success in this role, you will have a combination of the following:


  • Thorough knowledge of the targeted education market and customer needs.

  • Experience teaching in a government school

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to seize opportunities.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to Twinkl's mission of supporting those who teach.
