Are you ready to transition your classroom expertise into a dynamic training role?
Join our Twinkl Phonics Training team, where you’ll empower educators by delivering engaging training sessions on our DfE-validated Twinkl Phonics SSP programme and Rhino Readers reading scheme. As a Twinkl representative, you will communicate key company messages and support educators in effectively implementing our phonics provision across a range of settings.
We are looking for an inspiring presenter and trainer to create and deliver a range of training for educators across the world. With experience in presenting to teaching professionals, you will be confident, charismatic and able to inspire the room, whilst delivering key messages and sharing the benefits of the Twinkl Phonics SSP programme. You’ll support settings so that they feel confident to embed Twinkl Phonics as their whole-school approach. You will have demonstrated excellent phonics practice in your own classroom and have experience teaching from an SSP programme - although knowledge of Twinkl Phonics is preferred, this can be from any recognised scheme. Your schedule will vary from week-to-week, requiring travel to schools across England and flexible working hours to accommodate early morning international training sessions and late afternoon/early evening after-school events.
You will be part of a vibrant, fun and friendly team and will be well supported along the way.
Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:
running live, virtual training sessions and network events for educators across the UK and internationally;
travelling to schools across the UK to deliver school in-person training sessions;
liaising with Twinkl production teams to prepare and update training content;
sharing relevant classroom insights with production teams, suggesting changes to resources based on training experiences and teacher feedback;
showcasing physical phonics resources from the Twinkl Store;
creating pre-recorded training content for a range of digital platforms;
working with English Hubs to enable them to support settings who are using Twinkl Phonics.
To succeed in the role, you will possess and utilise the following skills:
expertise in systematic synthetic phonics pedagogy and contextual knowledge of relevant curriculum requirements;
confidence in delivering engaging training sessions, adapting your delivery style for different formats and explaining complex concepts clearly to diverse adult audiences;
collaborate effectively with a variety of internal teams to develop our training content;
proficiency in digital literacy to confidently deliver training in public-facing digital formats;
exceptional relationship management and communication skills to build rapport and maintain professional connections with a range of stakeholders (including school staff, SMTs, parents, and internal colleagues);
high levels of adaptability, independence, and flexibility - no two days will be the same!
In this role, you will learn:
what the Twinkl Phonics SSP programme contains and how to deliver it effectively;
enhanced presentation and delivery skills;
how to write and edit content for Twinkl Phonics training;
and many more skills and techniques.
You’ll work with:
our existing Twinkl Phonics Training team;
your Twinkl Phonics Team Leader, who is your line manager;
a number of of Twinkl Educational Content Leads and the production teams;
Twinkl’s Customer Success and Sales teams who support with organising requests and bookings.
We're interested in anyone who meets one or a combination of the following:
is experienced phonics practitioner, having taught EYFS/KS1 phonics using an SSP programme (preferably Twinkl Phonics);
has an interest in, and demonstrated excellent practice in, the delivery of phonics;
has engaging presentation and communication skills when working with educators;
has experience of delivering successful and impactful school INSET sessions (phonics-related experience is preferred but not essential);
has detailed knowledge of the 2014 National Curriculum and Early Years Framework;
is prepared to confidently work between different IT platforms, including G Suite, GoogleMeet and Microsoft Teams;
- has a reliable computer or laptop with a fast broadband speed and a working camera/microphone- you will be responsible for maintenance/repairs, etc.;
- holds a Full UK drivers licence with access to own vehicle.
Important: This role includes delivering in-person training to primary schools which may involve overnight hotel stays and travel across England, including occasional Sundays. Expenses will be reimbursed. To accommodate international online training, hours will be flexible, including early mornings, later nights, sessions during school hours or after school.
