We’re looking for a Senior Business Insights Analyst to lead the creation and management of a product and content insights process. This is a newly created role within Twinkl, dedicated to providing the actionable insights necessary to drive data-led decisions towards the creation of new or improvement of existing product and content.

As the Senior Business Insights Analyst, you will play a key role in centralising data from multiple business functions and have the fantastic opportunity to shape how Twinkl leverages data to drive product decisions and foster a more data-driven product development culture.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Creation and Management of the Insights Process

    • Develop a central database and manage a structured process for gathering insights, tailored specifically at improving product and content development.

    • Ensure data inputs from various departments, including marketing, sales, customer service, and product teams, are collected and fed into the central database in a timely manner.

    • Collect both qualitative (such as customer feedback) and quantitative data from across those business units to create a comprehensive dataset.

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the data is being interpreted and actioned appropriately.

  2. Insights Generation

    • Organise and Translate raw data into insights that directly supports action in the form of product development and content creation.

    • Ensure that insights are clear and relevant to the development and evaluation of both new and existing products and content.

  3. Supporting Strategic Decision-Making

    • Provide data-driven recommendations that guide key business decisions related to product and content strategy.

    • Present insights in a way that supports lean decision-making at the leadership level and across product and content teams.

    • Promote continuous feedback loops with teams to review the impact of insights.

  4. Continuous Improvement

    • Continuously review and enhance data collection methods, reporting processes, and analytical tools to improve the accuracy, relevance, and efficiency of insights.

    • Implement new tools or methods that enhance the quality and timeliness of insights delivered to product and content teams.

    • Collaborate with teams to establish new data inputs.

  5. Opportunity Scoping & Prioritisation

    • Provide recommendations for opportunities based on your evaluation of the data. Identifying both low and high hanging fruit.

    • Create a mechanism for estimating the opportunity size that can be used as a guide for prioritising projects.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Communication

    • Exceptional ability to communicate insights that influence product and content development decisions, ensuring clarity for non-technical stakeholders.

    • Ability to facilitate workshops that help stakeholders understand the data and turn it into opportunities or optimisations.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Strong experience working with diverse teams such as product, content, marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure insights align with broader product and content goals.

  • Proficiency in Data Tools:

    • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and business intelligence tools such as Tableau/Google Analytics, with a specific focus on product and content performance analysis.

  • Data Visualisation for Product Teams:

    • Expertise in creating clear and actionable visual reports and dashboards that inform product roadmaps and content strategies.

  • Business Acumen:

    • Ability to interpret data within a business and commercial context, providing insights that influence product and content strategies and drive business growth.

  • Project & Task Management:

    • Proven ability to manage the end-to-end process of data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring high-quality outputs under tight deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Adaptability & Learning Agility:

    • A quick learner, able to adapt to shifting priorities in product and content development and embrace new tools and methodologies that enhance data analysis.

    • A self-starter mindset who is up for the challenge of building something from the ground up.
