Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
Reports to: Head of Innovation
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Business Insights Analyst to lead the creation and management of a product and content insights process. This is a newly created role within Twinkl, dedicated to providing the actionable insights necessary to drive data-led decisions towards the creation of new or improvement of existing product and content.
As the Senior Business Insights Analyst, you will play a key role in centralising data from multiple business functions and have the fantastic opportunity to shape how Twinkl leverages data to drive product decisions and foster a more data-driven product development culture.
Key Responsibilities
Creation and Management of the Insights Process
Develop a central database and manage a structured process for gathering insights, tailored specifically at improving product and content development.
Ensure data inputs from various departments, including marketing, sales, customer service, and product teams, are collected and fed into the central database in a timely manner.
Collect both qualitative (such as customer feedback) and quantitative data from across those business units to create a comprehensive dataset.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the data is being interpreted and actioned appropriately.
Insights Generation
Organise and Translate raw data into insights that directly supports action in the form of product development and content creation.
Ensure that insights are clear and relevant to the development and evaluation of both new and existing products and content.
Supporting Strategic Decision-Making
Provide data-driven recommendations that guide key business decisions related to product and content strategy.
Present insights in a way that supports lean decision-making at the leadership level and across product and content teams.
Promote continuous feedback loops with teams to review the impact of insights.
Continuous Improvement
Continuously review and enhance data collection methods, reporting processes, and analytical tools to improve the accuracy, relevance, and efficiency of insights.
Implement new tools or methods that enhance the quality and timeliness of insights delivered to product and content teams.
Collaborate with teams to establish new data inputs.
Opportunity Scoping & Prioritisation
Provide recommendations for opportunities based on your evaluation of the data. Identifying both low and high hanging fruit.
Create a mechanism for estimating the opportunity size that can be used as a guide for prioritising projects.
Key Skills & Experience
Communication:
Exceptional ability to communicate insights that influence product and content development decisions, ensuring clarity for non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to facilitate workshops that help stakeholders understand the data and turn it into opportunities or optimisations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Strong experience working with diverse teams such as product, content, marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure insights align with broader product and content goals.
Proficiency in Data Tools:
Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and business intelligence tools such as Tableau/Google Analytics, with a specific focus on product and content performance analysis.
Data Visualisation for Product Teams:
Expertise in creating clear and actionable visual reports and dashboards that inform product roadmaps and content strategies.
Business Acumen:
Ability to interpret data within a business and commercial context, providing insights that influence product and content strategies and drive business growth.
Project & Task Management:
Proven ability to manage the end-to-end process of data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring high-quality outputs under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
Adaptability & Learning Agility:
A quick learner, able to adapt to shifting priorities in product and content development and embrace new tools and methodologies that enhance data analysis.
