At Twinkl, you’ll join a team united by purpose, driven by creativity, and passionate about making education better for everyone. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills, shape your career and make a tangible impact every day.

Overview:

We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Facilities Assistant to join our dedicated team at Twinkl’s Sheffield HQ.

You’ll help keep our workspace running smoothly by managing supplies, maintenance requests, access, and health & safety checks to create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Working closely with our Office Manager, Cleaning and Operations Coordinator and the wider Estates team, you’ll support everything from daily building operations to event setups.

It’s a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same, ideal for someone organised, practical, and people-focused who takes pride in maintaining a great place to work. The role includes split shifts, with early starts from 06:30 and late finishes up to 18:00 on a team rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day running of Twinkl’s Sheffield HQ, ensuring the office is safe, organised, and fully operational.
  • Manage office supplies, deliveries, and stock levels, maintaining cost-effective and timely replenishment.
  • Log, coordinate, and track maintenance requests, liaising with contractors and ensuring swift resolution.
  • Help manage access, seating plans, and internal moves to keep workspaces functional and welcoming.
  • Carry out regular health and safety checks, supporting fire and first aid procedures as needed.
  • Assist with meeting room setup, company events, and general facilities administration.
  • Provide a professional and friendly point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors.

Experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a facilities, office, or operations support role (around 2 years preferred).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Confident communicator who’s approachable and professional with all levels of staff and visitors.
  • Practical understanding of health and safety in the workplace; fire warden or first aid training a plus.
  • Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, busy team.
  • Good IT literacy, especially Google Workspace tools.

What we offer:

In return for everything you bring, we offer a rewarding opportunity in a fast-growing, values-driven company with plenty of scope for growth and development.

  • A friendly, welcoming, and supportive culture where people always come first.
  • A strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging with active Employee Network Groups for LGBTQ+, People of Colour, Disabilities (visible and invisible), Women in Tech and Working Parents.
  • Comprehensive benefits from day one, including Westfield Health, 33 days’ annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), a charity day each year and a Twinkl subscription.
  • Quarterly company awards recognising exceptional contributions.
  • Seasonal events and team activities throughout the year.
  • Referral scheme and long-term service rewards, including life insurance and enhanced pension and family leave benefits.
  • Additional perks after probation, including Cycle to Work Scheme and other lifestyle benefits.
