This role:
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join our team. You will play a key role in providing expert HR advice and operational support across the business, ensuring the consistent and fair application of HR policies and processes.
This role is both hands-on and advisory — ideal for someone who thrives on solving people challenges, managing employee relations cases, supporting managers, and contributing to projects that improve the employee experience. You will work as part of a collaborative HR team supporting a hybrid and geographically distributed workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Casework
Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR matters, including employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance management.
Support managers in investigations and the fair and consistent resolution of employee concerns, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
Policy, Compliance & Governance
Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied and aligned with legislation and internal frameworks.
Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and processes to drive continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in line with GDPR and company standards.
Performance & Development
Support the embedding of performance management processes, guiding managers with goal setting, annual reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
Provide ongoing support to managers to build confidence and encourage proactivity in managing people-related issues.
Engagement & Culture
Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, well-being, and a positive workplace culture.
Champion Twinkl’s values and ensure they are reflected in everyday people's practices.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
Support HR projects focused on enhancing the employee experience, process efficiency, and system improvements (e.g., HRIS optimisation and automation initiatives).
Identify opportunities to streamline HR operations and improve service delivery through innovation and collaboration.
Core Skills:
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and HR processes.
Proven experience advising managers and handling HR casework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Good understanding of performance management, employee relations, and engagement principles.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment and managing multiple priorities.

Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards qualification).
Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as an HR Advisor or similar advisory role.
Experience supporting managers and employees within a scaling or fast-paced organisation.
