Content Writer/Editor - Saudi Arabia

Job Introduction

Location: Saudi Arabia- 100% Remote / Home Working (Must permanently live in Saudi Arabia & have the right to work without restrictions to apply for this role).

Pay Rate: $8 USD per hour.

Contract: 12-month initial contract  - Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes.

Hours of work: 20 hours per week.

The Role:

Here at Twinkl we are currently looking for a content writer & editor to join our Twinkl Saudi Arabia team and create exceptional resources. You’ll be writing a variety of educational resources covering a variety of topics such as: Fine motor skills, life skills, core curriculum and event specific in order to help teachers teach, aligned to International and the Saudi Arabia curriculum. We are looking for a creative, innovative, cooperative content writer/editor to join our team and collaborate with making incredible content on our website.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about creating educational resources and giving back to the education community, and keen to share their expertise with others in their team. To succeed in this role you must be confident in your level of Arabic and English writing skills following correct grammar rules. As a team we are looking to add new creative ideas and engaging resources to improve our Arabic and English content on our website.

In your role as a writer/editor, you will focus on quality when writing content and help ensure that the content of our resources the writers have written is accurate and well written, helping us to deliver high-quality Arabic and English materials to children around the world.

As part of the Twinkl Saudi Arabia team,  you will communicate with other team members and attend weekly meetings to stay updated on the progress of our work. You will be part of an agile team that communicates via email, messaging, and video meetings. To fulfil this role, you will need to provide your own technology and have reliable high-speed internet access.

The content you write will be turned into professional Twinkl products by our highly skilled design and illustration team.

How you’ll spend your day:

• Helping in the research/ideation stage to create new resources in order to grow the product library on Twinkl website, considering age groups, different genres, popular topics and representing diversity;

• Creating early years  resources, meeting, working and communicating with other team members of designers and illustrators to ensure the highest quality.

• Researching educational resource trends and ideas to make sure your assigned resources will be instant hits with our millions of global members

We are especially interested in anyone who also meets the following:

• Has experience writing educational resources for the early years stage.

• Has an excellent understanding of Arabic and excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.

• Has an excellent understanding of English and excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.

• Qualifications: Hold A bachelor's university degree in education.

• Is creative, accurate, always brings new ideas to the table and is able to be a team player..
