We’re seeking a strategic and data-driven Team Leader to lead and support our high-performing team of national education leads drive educator and school B2C/B2B; growth, retention and community engagement. 

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of school/trust leadership in England and a proven track record in networking and  advanced audience analytics within dynamic, fast-paced environments.

As Team Leader for National Education Leads, a group of experienced educators who lead on the promotion of our; curriculum, English, Maths, Science, arts, Inclusion, Digital, assessment and wellbeing offer, you will support the team to achieve their goal of establishing our brand as a trusted authority in the industry through: deadline management, tracking and monitoring KPIs and foster a positive, solutions-oriented work environment. You’ll coach and empower your team to maximise performance and stay up to date on business updates, processes, and best practices.


Key Responsibilities


Project & Team Management:

  • Plan and execute sprints (projects), prioritise tasks, and manage projects using tools like Jira, Tableau and excel.

  • Oversee daily operations, sign off on projects, and manage team workload.

  • Line management: Develop team members through 1-1s, performance tracking, and troubleshooting.

  • Provide monthly performance reports and data on team activities.

Administrative Duties:

  • Develop and implement a data-driven strategy for monitoring impact of individual and team initiatives, aligned with our brand, to support our educator (B2C) and school/trust (B2B) growth and retention ambitions.

  • Leverage advanced analytics tools to refine audience segmentation for enhanced personalisation and targeting.

  • Oversee resource allocation and handle recruitment where needed.

  • Organise and run video meetings including stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and external meetings.

  • Communicate and report back on strategy and campaign/project performance and provide insights for future development. 

Collaboration:

  • Manage cross-functional communication with other teams across the business; content, sales, marketing, schools, PD, HR and SLT. 

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest education and marketing trends and technologies in the education sector and share updates and insights with the team. 

Coaching & Development:

  • Support team members’ growth through coaching, setting measurable goals, and encouraging continuous learning.

  • Lead training sessions and onboarding for new starters, and promote a culture of problem-solving.

Team Wellbeing:

  • Ensure the team feels supported, celebrating successes and maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Facilitate open communication, providing feedback, and creating a safe space for challenges and discussions.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the educational sector in the UK (preferably within a leadership capacity/strong knowledge of trust/school leadership)

  • In-depth understanding of the England education market (B2C/B2B), with insights into policy, curriculum requirements, and public-sector education strategies and experience/understanding of how to market B2C/B2B to this sector. 

  • Prove leadership track record, focused on providing solutions and empowering teams.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and care.

  • Proven ability to drive acquisition, retention and product adoption through data-informed strategies.

  • Experience with project management methodologies and a focus on delivering results.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels of the organisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex marketing challenges.

  • Proficiency with analytical tools/software. 

  • Alignment with Twinkl’s core values and leadership approach.

KPIs:

  • Identify 1 area of improvement linked to top level thought leadership strategy and make data-driven decisions on how to optimise and develop this opportunity, product or service per month

  • Respond to 1 training need within the National Thought Leader Team each month and source/deliver appropriate training

  • Support the development of the B2B influence strategy and ensure that each National Thought Leader completes one relevant action towards this strategy per month. 

Company Leadership KPIs

  • Ensure 100% of team members achieve their KPIs and actions are in place where performance is below this.

  • Ensure 100% of team members score between 4 and 5 on the Workload Monitor and effective actions are in place for scores above or below this, every week.

  • Complete 100% of tasks assigned by HR within allocated timeframes.
