Educake is a dynamic and award-winning educational technology company. Because teachers love Educake our friendly team is growing, so we are on the lookout for a proactive and passionate Teacher Support Account Manager. You’ll be a great fit for the role if you are enthusiastic about helping teachers, super-organised, and a great listener.

Location: Oxford, UK/ hybrid 

Hours: Full time (35 hours a week) or part time considered

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 per annum

Contract: Term time only and all year-round contracts available

We can provide hybrid working opportunities for a mixture of remote and office working. You will be required to come into the Oxford office but the frequency can be flexible (a minimum of twice per month minimum will be required). This role is not suitable if you are looking for a fully remote role or if you are unable to commute to Oxford.

Educake provides online quizzing, perfect for homework, revision and in class. Our quizzes are easy to create, auto mark and have powerful analysis tools, saving teacher’s time and informing their planning

Based in Oxford, we offer a comprehensive range of subjects for secondary (KS3 and GCSE) as well as English, maths, and science for primary (KS2).

Your Mission:

As a Teacher Support Account Manager, your mission is clear: to maximise the value educators derive from our platform. You'll excel in this role if you're passionate about supporting teachers, impeccably organised, and possess outstanding communication skills.

Please note:

As a business one of our objectives is to attend events throughout the year. Account managers will therefore be expected to do about 4-6 events per year.  As a result there may be a requirement to work on weekends, early mornings and evenings to deliver events globally. Overtime will be paid in accordance with management approval and travel expenses will be paid for. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering outstanding, personalised service to assist schools in utilising Educake effectively.
  • Managing a portfolio of school accounts, employing innovative strategies to boost engagement and drive renewal retention. 
  • Exceeding expectations by providing exceptional support to our teachers, ensuring their needs are consistently met and surpassed.
  • Maintaining meticulous oversight of account statuses and maximising outcomes through strategic engagement.
  • Considering sales opportunities within the school and school group

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in either the schools sector and/ or account management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, confident, and adept at multitasking.
  • Empathetic, with a knack for problem-solving and building rapport.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal English.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to build rapport and ask insightful questions in a consultative manner.
  • Team player mentality with a drive for excellence.
  • Proficiency in technology, including standard office applications, with a willingness to learn new platforms.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in education and engaging with teachers and department heads.
  • Experience in account management.
  • Understanding of sales processes within educational institutions.
  • Familiarity with agile work environments.
