The Role:
We are looking for a strategic and data-driven SEO Operations Manager to lead the execution of our SEO strategy with precision and efficiency. This role is pivotal in optimizing workflows, managing advanced SEO tools and platforms, and ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, leveraging automation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the SEO team.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient in SEO, and passionate about using innovative solutions to enhance productivity and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Management & Optimization:
- Design, implement, and continuously optimize SEO workflows to enhance team efficiency and scalability.
- Streamline cross-functional collaboration between SEO specialists, content creators, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, ensuring timely execution of SEO initiatives.
- Work with other departments to manage the SEO team’s contribution to key cross departmental workstreams.
2. Tool & Platform Management:
- Oversee the selection, deployment, and management of SEO tools and platforms to maximize team productivity.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts related to SEO tools and technologies.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
3. Internal Tooling & Automation:
- Collaborate with development and data teams to design and implement custom internal tools that streamline SEO operations.
- Drive the integration of automation solutions, including AI-powered tools, to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Continuously explore opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and optimize resource utilization.
4. Training, Support & Documentation:
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure team members are proficient in using tools and following best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SEO tools and systems.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of SEO processes, workflows, and tool usage guidelines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Operational Efficiency: Time saved through process enhancements and automation.
- Performance Impact: Improvement in SEO performance metrics attributed to implemented tools and processes.
- Adoption & Compliance: Tool adoption rates and adherence to standardized workflows through effective training and documentation.
- Cost Optimization: Budget efficiency and cost savings achieved through tool management and automation.
Qualifications & Skills:
We're looking for candidates with a good combination of the following:
- Proven experience in SEO operations, process management, or related roles within digital marketing.
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Botify, Google Search Console) and automation platforms.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Experience with AI tools or scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
