We are looking for creative, innovative, cooperative content writers/editors to join our team and collaborate on creating perfect content on our website.

As a team, we are looking to add new creative ideas and engaging resources to improve our South Africa content on the website.

You will create innovative printable and digital South African teaching resources that address key gaps in our Senior Phase content  - for Natural Science, Technology, History, Geography, EMS, LO and Creative Arts

As a writer/editor, you will focus on quality when writing content and help ensure that the content of our resources the writers have written is accurate and well-written, helping us to deliver high-quality materials to children in South Africa.

You will be part of an agile team that communicates via email, messaging, and video meetings. To fulfil this role, you must provide your own technology, have reliable high-speed internet access and a back-up power solution.

The content you write will be turned into professional Twinkl products by our highly skilled design and illustration team.

How you’ll spend your day:

  • Creating resources following the product scheme, reviewing and editing content that our writers have created to ensure it is accurate, well written, and suitable for the target year group, and providing the correct level of challenge and support.

  • Meeting, working and communicating with other team members in a scrum team to achieve production goals.

  • Research South African educational resource trends and ideas to make sure your assigned resources will be instant hits with South African teachers.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to create exceptional content following the Twinkl guidelines and according to CAPS.

  • How to adapt new ideas to fit a new market.

  • How a scrum team works together across different markets and countries.

You’ll work with:

  • Your Team Leader and Line Manager

  • Other Twinkl South Africa team members: The team consists of a production team leader, other Content Writers/ Editors, designers, illustrators, and marketing specialists. We all work together in harmony towards one message: providing the highest-quality South African content to help all those who teach in South Africa!

We are especially interested in anyone who also meets the following:

  • Qualifications: Hold a university degree in education.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ Senior Phase, South African classroom experience.

  • Be creative and accurate, always bring new ideas to the table, and be able to communicate in English.

In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting role in a fast-growing and dynamic business with plenty of career opportunities.
