The Role: STEM Commissioning Editor

We’re looking for a STEM Commissioning Editor to help us produce the best questions and content in science, maths, computer science, business, and other STEM-related subjects. Based in the vibrant city of Oxford, you'll be part of a team that genuinely makes a difference in education.

Reporting to: Head of Editorial

You will need experience in commissioning STEM educational resources, including:

  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by science and maths teachers

  • Knowledge of the UK education system and qualifications

  • Researching courses and specifications

  • Project planning, budgeting, and management

  • Recruiting and commissioning suppliers

  • Briefing authors

  • Copy-editing and proofreading


Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and proposing opportunities for new content

  • Commissioning engaging and accurate content

  • Project managing the development of high-quality educational materials

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to promote our STEM resources

  • Working closely with the product team to ensure our content and platform work seamlessly together
