PE Cover Supervisor – Manchester | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Manchester to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about sport and education to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a classroom and practical setting.

Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day, depending on experience.

The Role:

As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set PE lessons and supervising classes during teacher absence. You’ll support the school’s PE department in maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour while encouraging students to engage positively with sport and physical activity.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

• Manage classroom and sports hall behaviour effectively

• Encourage participation and sportsmanship among pupils

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students during activities

• Support other subject areas with general cover supervision when required

• Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders regarding student progress

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with young people in a school, coaching, or sports setting

• A genuine passion for physical education and youth development

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility and reliability

• A degree in sport, PE, or a related field is desirable but not essential

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
