Job Introduction

• Year 6 Intervention Teaching Assistant – SATs Support
• Location: Salford
• Start Date: ASAP
• Daily Rate: £90–£110 (depending on experience)
• Contract: Full-time, until the end of the academic year

Elevate Supply are working in partnership with a well-regarded Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ primary school in Salford to recruit a Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for Year 6 pupils preparing for their SATs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed TA with a strong interest in literacy and numeracy support, particularly in upper Key Stage 2. You’ll work closely with the Year 6 teaching team, helping to deliver small group and 1:1 interventions focused on filling learning gaps and boosting pupil confidence in the run-up to the exams.

About the Role

• Support small group and 1:1 intervention sessions in Maths, Reading, and SPaG

• Help prepare resources and track pupil progress alongside the class teacher

• Assist with identifying pupils in need of additional SATs support

• Encourage a calm, focused, and positive learning environment

• Offer tailored academic and emotional support to help pupils stay motivated and on track

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with KS2 pupils, especially in Year 6, is highly desirable

• Confident supporting English and Maths at an upper primary level

• Patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting pupil progress

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Available immediately for a full-time role
